 The atomizer consists of an aluminum handle with on/off switch, a heating pan with heat shield, a glow plug with mounting block and 3m cable with 2 battery poles. A car battery with 12V serves as power source.
 An oxalic acid tablet or an equivalent amount of powder is poured into the pan.
 The evaporator unit is inserted into the basket through the entrance hole and heated.
 When heated, the oxalic acid becomes liquid and evaporates.
 The fine oxalic acid crystals are well tolerated by bees, but have a lethal effect on Varroa.

The method is most suitable for removing residual mites from brood-free colonies. The treatment should not be carried out in case of heavy bee flight. • Connect the battery terminals to a 12V car battery (make sure that the terminals are connected correctly, red (+) and black (-). The switch must be in position 0. • Pour the correct amount of oxalic acid into the evaporator. 1 g for 1 frame, 2 g for 2 frames. • Then insert the device over the inlet opening, approx. 20 cm deep. • Close all openings of the basket with foam strips or damp cloths. Close open mesh shelves and other openings well. • When you switch on the evaporator, the red LED of the button lights up. After about 2 minutes the evaporation process is complete. The duration of the evaporation depends on the ambient temperature and the battery used, as well as the charge status. • After switching off, quickly pull out the evaporator, close the inlet opening well again and keep it closed for another 5-10 minutes. • After removing, the evaporator is cooled briefly in a bucket of water. It should be noted that only the evaporator pan is under water and not the tube with the cable opening.
