Fast, easy and reliable
 Collect 200-300 bees (approx. 50 g of bees, check with a scale if necessary) of bees in the container and shake them together with 5 lightly heaped tablespoons of powdered twitch (approx. 35 g) for 60 seconds. Until all bees are covered with powdered sugar.
 Wait 3 minutes and let the bees "work". In the meantime, gently shake the cup once or twice to distribute the powdered sugar over the bees
 The mites are separated from the bees
 Now count the mites on the bottom of the container
